PSALMS: THE SCHOOL OF PRAYER
At the heart of the Bible are Psalms, prayers from God that help us learn to pray. The Holy Spirit inspired them, Israel sang them, and Christ, himself, as well as our Blessed Mother prayed them. These sacred hymns become our heartfelt response (at EVERY Mass and in our own meditations) to God’s loving and wondrous deeds for us. Their words captivate the imagination and draw us into a deeply personal encounter with God.
St. John the Baptist Parish will begin an eleven-week Bible study Psalms: The School of Prayer on Tuesday, October 1st at 1:30 in the church basement. Participants will meet twice a month to view an engaging video presentation followed by a lively group discussion and fellowship.
