Anointing of the Sick
This Sacrament, performed only by the Pastor, celebrates and reminds us of God’s compassion and helps us to experience spiritual and physical strengthening when we are seriously ill. It is for those awaiting surgery, with a serious illness, or those who are impaired by old age. This Sacrament may be received at the church, in the home or hospital. Please alert the office of any hospital stays, as hospitals do not routinely call the parish. Appointments with the Pastor for receiving this Sacrament may be made by calling the parish office.
Funeral Dinners Ministry
The volunteers for this ministry provide all necessary food for a dinner following funeral services for the family and friends of the deceased. Activities include set-up, serving the food and clean-up following the meal. Dinners are held at the time and location the family chooses.
This is a shared ministry of the Pastor and/or parishioners who reach out to fellow parishioners who are unable to attend the weekend Mass. It is a wonderful way to serve the Church in the expression of God’s love and care. If you are aware of anyone who is homebound and wish to receive pastoral care from the Parish, including anointing of the sick, pleas call the office as soon as possible.
Visit the Sick in Hospitals Ministry
Our Pastor and/or Extraordinary Ministers designated by the Pastor, who discern this special calling can carry Jesus Christ into the community with the message of God’s love. It is an extension of the Eucharistic Celebration at Mass. It is a beautiful an most rewarding ministry. Eucharistic Ministers assigned by the Pastor, when needed, can be assigned visiting days. Usually once a month or more as needed, at a mutually agreed upon time of day.
